Review :: Lykathea Aflame : Elvenefris

I was searching this album from a long time when my metal guru told me about this band. I always feel good whenever i see a good and crative death metal album , and few example like Atheist , Cynic really make me feel happy. Like other legend band Cynic Infester and Atheist they also had small carrer , they left only full length album 'Elvenfris'. But i think this album is among those few best album which is taken as legend album in death metal industry.

The whole album is a masterpiece , every song is diffrent and unique a true masterpiece. They sound incredible .... the tempo , the peak never let the song down , the vocals and the drummers are just fit into the environment. The riffs are very catchy , and the solos are very emotional the same time the kult drums and insane riifs puts you into the top of the world. They are technically very strong and they have every good damm thing in there music. All the solo are full of emotionally and in other hand they kick ass with catchy riffs and harsh vocals. The drummer part is the most interesting part of the album , i remember people suggest each other that if you want to see that how extreme drums are been played then listen this album. You wont remember Mike Portnoy or Flo Mounier or Tony Choy that time belive me !!

They are technically very very good , full of talent and creativity. All of the songs of the album are diffrent, all the song have diffrent structure and all of them are brilliant and unique. They have also added the natural sounds in there music , which really make you feel awesome. But in most of the song the tempo changes very fast and instantly with time which keeps the song interesting and the extremely brutal drumming keeps u high always. Eveything with them is just perfect. Each & every song make u feel a wonderful journy of hell some time the brutal side some time insane side and some time melodic side. It is not just a 1: 12 hour album it is a brilliant creation by Lykathea Aflame. Which the metal industry will remember till the end of the world.

This is recommended to all death metal lovers specially the Athesit Cynic and Martyr Lovers , go go and either download this album or buy it. If u havnt listen this album then u really missed a golden DM masterpiece.

"Synchronicity" Rock Night at IIT Kanpur

I cant belive i just came from the Rock Show of IIT Kanpur 'Synchronicity'.The best Headbangging with insanity i ever did .Since i was new for the place i got only few headbangger friends Akhil Gupta and Syed. I really missed few headbangger dudes ..like Abhishek Majumder , Vikash Jaiswal , Anshul Agrawal and Harpreet Arora.

Line up was IIT Kanpur team , Alter Ego, Sceptre and Them Clones .. all ofthem was new for me ..and i was bit excited. Any ways after a little late the show started and the Home band came to perform .It was the local IIT Kanpur team , they played couple of covers led zeppelin , iron maiden and pink floyd ..Good guitaring and Good drummer but the vocals was bit loose , neither the sound quality was good .... But since i have heared all the song they played i enjoyed them ..the pink floyd's cover the wall was brilliant specially the guitaring solos.

Next was Alter Ego .. they started with RATM song .. cant remeber the song name ..but that track pissed me off. People who love the song enjoyed enough ....the show was in full mood but i was standing near a big 440 volt soundbox system watching people headbangging and jumping with drums and lyrics.. and i just hate this moment..i was waiting for the song which could be kinda Good-RATM Marilyn Manson System Of A Down ..my few Nu metal favorite bands .After few self composition they played two Rage Against The Machine's song .. Bullet in ur head and other cant remeber exactly. They was too good .... people was jumping like they gotta spring in there legs .. and the moment came in the end of the song when the vocalist growl 'bullet in ur fking head' i cant belive that i screamed much louder then the vocalist ..lolzzz. Till the end of this band i was totally warmed up for doing much more and heavily headbangging.

This was the time for 'Sceptre', i read somewhere that they deal with Thrash genre .. since this is my one of the favorite genre ..so i was kinda excited. I was really boared of the most of the Indian bands .. becoz every second band deal with either Grunge, hard rock or Rap. I hate Rap and i have heared enough of Hard-Rock and Grunge. I was expecting very much with this band .. and the stuff they played was much much much much better then i was imaging.Starting with there Original Composition ..they move to the whole thrash genre .. from metallica to megadeth to slayer ..but the main was Metallica .. the mainstream band which most of the people know .. They played allmost all the metallica hits from sad but true , the unforgiven to turn the page .... and they was too good .. they covered each and every song with uniquenes and in a talented way. I dont remember when they started the song and when they ended the song .. i was totally fked up till that moment.... contineously head bangging of whole one fking hour. Cant really forget this gig \,,/ . Sceptre is a 4 member band .. two guitarist and one bass guitarist and one drummer .... The drummer was too good , The vocal-guitarist seems to be a bit influence by Lord Mustaine. They are very talented and very tight .. i forget to buy the CD's which was available there at the cost of 50 bugs.. damm it !! and in the end they sucked up .. they covered Paranoid 'in their own way' and fked the whole song ....but anyways they rocked the whole IIT no doubt.It is my dream to see Indian Black metal , Death metal band LIVE.At least there are few GOOD thrash metal like Prestorika and Parikrama follwed by Sceptre.

Now the last band was 'Them Clones'. I throught they could do better then Sceptre but what the fuck they staretd the first song with Lim Bizkit ' MI track' i was totally shocked. It was Hopeless Hope that they could play any megadeth or any other heavy stuff .. which i was waiting for. Going through The Scorpion , Sex Pistons ,Linkin Park, U2 they played few tracks of my favorite bands .. Marilyn Manson and Disturbed. Marilyn Manson cover ripped me off .. i donno what i was doing that time jumping around the ground doing headbangging .. this was new for me too. Marilyn Manson cover was good but they sucked the Disturbed's Stupify.

Overall it was a GOOD rock show .. i really enjoyed it. I find few new headbangger there. Didnt able to share my music stuff there at IIT Kanpur .. but any ways cant forget this GIG.

Dimmu Borgir : Listning Stormblast 2005 rerelease again and again

Exodus : Got another thrash legend , Tempo Of The Damned and Bonded by blood is a brilliant album. They are GODs of thrash.

Exhumation : Got the first album of this band ..total asskick and very brutal.

Slayer : Listning them after such a long time .. and this time they sound better and better then .... now i appriciate there talent , they were pioneer and they are BEST . Kreator Megadeth Sodom Metallica are the bands which come near Slayer , rest of them fk off !! Reign In Blood Kick ass. After being Hard Core Metallica fan , then Megadeth fan its time to tell everyone about Slayer.

Tulus : Awesome Melodic BM \m/ .. Pure Black Energy is the best Album by them .... rocking my whole wing .

Heathen : The Awesome Thrash Metal band i ever saw .... they get disbanded , but the 3 album they left for the metal industry is brilliant .. check it out Heathn's officila website http://www.heathenmetal.com/ . Then move to 'Discography' , All the 3 albums are available there . Most recommended Album "Breaking The Silence" ..waise first two albums are Thrash Masterpiece .

Drudkh : The single album 'Autumn Aurora' is enough for me ....listning the whole album everyday .. awesome creativity.

Deathspell Omega : Good kult technical black metal band i ever saw .

Martyr : Dont listen the album 'Hopeless Hope' by Martyr other wise u gonna fked up !! Belive me i m listning this album again and again .. cant stop listning them \,,/.

Review :: Rudra : Brahmavidya - Primordial 1

Rudra is a good singapore band ..they are new in this platform but they are the pioneers. Any ways they are so called 'Vedic metal'....deal mostly with vedic lyrics.Most of the song moves around the sanskrit sloks ..which sounds brilliant with groovy and catch riffs.

The first song twilight of Duality start with normal durga pooja kirtan ....which suddenly changes to insane riffs.... satanic vocals suits in the noisy thrashy environment .....if you try to listen the lyrics carefully then u can listen the sanskrit sloks.I appreciate the drummers talent .... he
varies the tone and pitch in everysong i dont know how he manage to creat such music like Dhool , baja and other local instrument.Another song 'Ananya Chaitanya' is too good .. damm they dont use easy starting .... start with brutuality with its limit ..awesome drummer with harsh vocals kills !! This song is extemrely supurb with lot n lots of complex riffs .. the repeated form of chaos really kick ass !! 'The pathless path to'is the another example of pure vedic song .. the only good thing in this song is the repeated form of "Har har shankar shiv shiv sankar" this is the basic starting with goes beside the catchy riffs and powerful drumming ..and suddelnly the whole theme disappeaered and the it shifted to another tr00 death metal theme .. and this was amazing .....Rest of the songs are the repeatation of sloks which is really mindblowing ..i like the new way of introducing the sloks in the dark death environment ..and thats what RUDRA itself call the 'Vedic Metal'.Next song 'There the sun never shines' Starts with awesome drumming .... and the drums based solo sound more and more kult when it grows up.The guitaring riffs are very much emotional ..the whole theme are just blessfull..i have never heared the theme like that..most of the DM/BM there are satanic .. but this one is better , toward happier side of riffs game. The melodic sloks penatrate in ur head like a bullet and fuck the whole system. These kinda songs are just brilliant becoz this experiment are really good ..i mean the deadly combo of vedic sloks in dark envirenment..or as my metal guru told me this combo is 'unquestionalble'. Rest of the songs are the typical vedic songs with moves around the vedic lyrics and catchy riffs ..from rest of the song Aham Brahmasmi is interesting one which starts with slow solos and get faster and faster when vocalist started growling .... nothing is clear , donno when he speak sankrit when he growl in english only clear word is "Aham Brahmasmi" .. again the combination of emotional riffs and emotionalsolos with brutal dumming kick ass !!.. if u have heared these sloks earlier then u gonna get awesome energy from from this album belive me.

If u are indian and you love thrash-death then this album is worth listning
..after all they deals with indian mythology.

Review - Immortal :: At The Heart Of Winter

Immortal is the GOD of black metal genre .If you are searching for black shit or say black raw stuff then no one can give you better material then Immortal . The band is growing with time , and the new album is more powerful then the earlier one. At The Heart Of Winter.

The first one is ordinary song by them...Deep vocals with dark environment although I love the keyboard work by them. ‘Where dark and light don't di’ is marvelous song ….totally amazing, every black element is there. If u really want to start Black then this Band is the Idol one …. Groovy riffs, More keyboards , Dark background and Harsh Vocals all makes the song different ..The title song ‘At The Heart Of Winter’ is a example of the above with a sweet and melodic theme. Oh!!Damm, I just love this song. If you see the patterns of Immoral it is clear that they never fails with the experiment whatever they do. They sound very much like old school black metal …. ‘Years of silent sorrow’ this song is different then ordinary song ..combination of drums with more and more complex riffs. Those who love Immortal or I say those who love Old School Black raw stuff will love all song by Immortal ..because immortal is genius in the platform. ‘Withstand the fall of time’ is a enjoyable tr00 black metal solo ..i love Abbath vocals too , he has such a unique vocals which fit into the sinister environment they create. ‘Tragedies Blows At Horizon’ is more clean vocals with extra drums ….Damm this is the most darkest song of the album , and that’s why I love this band !! Every time they do something different and they are supurb what ever they do. ‘Solarfall’ is most enjoyable song of the album . Good solo with complex riffs supported by black soothing environment is killer. I remember some of my friend was telling me that how good Abbath is in Guitar , the riffs are much complex and complicated with respect to the earlier Immortal stuff, Abbath is really genius ..i like his guitar work and the vocals. Overall the whole album was kickass !! . I rate this album as the best Album of Black Metal. After all this album put me into Black metal. Hail BM and Hail Immortal.

Review - Drudkh : : Autumn Aurora

Awesome album with great environment ....all the song are beautifull. The way they have mixed keyboards with the natural sounds are minblowing ....the opening song "Fading Summoning the Rain" prepared you for pushing you into next stage. The long solo which is kinda progressive but very very dark is soothing and the growling vocals between the solos make u feels like a hell. The most important thing is that the mixing of the 'new' sound with the black enviorment , it really gives a good shock. I live this kinda of experiment , "Glare of Autumn" is another masterpiece .... just a dark solo with hasrh vocals. I dont know how these guys manage to make a black metal song of more then eight minute , but all then songs are minblowing. The complex and repeated riffs with good drumming never let the tempo down, "Sunwheel" is another example of this.One of the BEST song of the album. Drudkh are really very very technically rich , they even use vocals as another playing instrument. The good thing in the whole album was that, environment of every song is dark and totally different from the ordinary black metal song . It is like the way Burzum gave a new dimention to the Black Metal ..totally different and mindblowing. The last track "The First Snow" is another masterpiece , this song is the theme of the whole album. It starts from a slow theme/solo , like it is raining somewhere in the middle of the jungle and the whole forest is floated after sometime. I observed the theory behind the album , and i find that the whole album a single theme. It is just divided into six part , you cant even rearrange any of the song ..because they are linked with another song. Once you start the album you wont feel satisfy untill it ends. I love this kind of experiment Vader Bathory do use this kind of theory. I am totally fked off , everynight before sleeping i listen this album. I think i am addicted to this album. Any ways this is highly recommended for Black Metal lovers ....one of the worth listning black metal album.
